Kavitha S, Dr, M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Phil., PhD – Associate Professor

 

Dr. S. Kavitha completed her UG degree [BSc (CT)] from PSG College of Technology and MBA degree from GRG School of Management Studies, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore. She also holds another Masters degree in Computer Applications from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. She cleared UGC-NET in Management during 2006. She obtained her PhD degree from Anna University. She is a gold medalist in both MBA and MCA. She is a certified “Accredited Management Teacher” by All India Management Association, in Information Technology domain

Dr. Kavitha has about 23 years of professional experience - 20 years in academia and three years in industry. Kavitha has been a resource person in numerous Faculty Development Programmes and Workshops on Management Research, Online Teaching Tools, Technology for Teaching Learning, Digital Marketing etc. She has organized a significant number of Faculty Development Programmes, Short Term Training Programmes, and National and International Conferences sponsored by government funding agencies. She has successfully completed an ICSSR sponsored Major Research project on “Influence of Social Media on Personality Development with Special Reference to Facebook and Whatsapp”. She has widely published in national and international refereed journals and is a certified guide for doctoral scholars. Two PhD scholars and one MPhil Scholar were awarded under her guidance. She has been doing consulting work for a few companies in Coimbatore through Market Research and helping in SEO and Email Marketing.

Kavitha handled an online programme on ‘Social Media Marketing’ to the international students of CETYS and its partner institutions. As a part of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) programme Kavitha was involved in co-teaching with SDSU, USA, faculty member

Kavitha is the 'Champion' of the ACBSP International Accreditation process at GRGSMS. She received the Best Faculty Award from GRG Trust in 2018. She also received Best Professor in Management award from Association of Management Professionals and Academic Excellence award from Institute of Researchers.
