Being one of the very few b-schools dedicated exclusively to the development of women managers, business leaders, and entrepreneurs, GRGSMS has taken special interest in nurturing future women entrepreneurs. Activities under Entrepreneurship Development Cell include the following:
E-Talks – We bring in successful entrepreneurs to our campus and let them share their experiences about personal challenges, risks and rewards with our students so that they get a good idea about the various facets of entrepreneurship. The purpose of the Entrepreneurship talk is to inspire management students to embrace innovation, creativity, and risk-taking in their careers. Through real-world examples and practical insights, students will learn about the entrepreneurial mindset, the process of ideation to execution, and the importance of adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges. Ultimately, the goal is to empower students to pursue their own entrepreneurial ventures or to apply entrepreneurial thinking within established organizations.
Feb Fiesta is a one-day event conducted in the month of February every year. It provides a platform for our students to learn application of management theories in practice as an entrepreneur. The purpose of the Entrepreneurship talk is to inspire management students to embrace innovation, creativity, and risk-taking in their careers. Students have to identify the theme and based on the theme they have to come up with innovative ideas and design, develop and sell the products. Awards would be presented to the team with the highest volume of sales, the most innovative team, and the team with the most relevant theme after the presentation made by the teams. These accolades would recognize the hard work, creativity, and dedication of the students in creating an entrepreneurship mindset. Ultimately, the goal is to empower students to pursue their own entrepreneurial ventures or to apply entrepreneurial thinking within established organizations.
Collaboration with Entrepreneurship Development organizations – GRGSMS has been actively collaborating with TiE Coimbatore, STARTUP TN, and various other entrepreneurship organizations to foster a vibrant ecosystem for entrepreneurship development. Through these partnerships, they organize workshops tailored for MSMEs, offering valuable insights and practical knowledge crucial for business growth. Additionally, regular certificate courses specifically designed for women entrepreneurs provide them with the necessary skills and confidence to succeed in their ventures. This concerted effort not only enhances the knowledge base but also creates networking opportunities, access to mentors, and resources vital for the budding entrepreneur. By nurturing innovation and offering targeted support, these initiatives aim to catalyze the growth of a dynamic entrepreneurial community in the region.
