GRGSMS is a B-school known for its frequent interaction with industry. Most of the faculty members have prior industry experience, and periodically they are sent to industries in the form of sabbaticals. Students periodically visit industries and make presentations on their learnings. Sponsored Research Projects are undertaken by faculty, and also by students jointly with faculty. People from the industry frequently deliver guest lectures. Focus is also on the development of holistic personality through education, and experiences like Outbound Programmes, Day with Nature, etc.
